For parents

Summer planning, in one place.

The Louisville Camp Directory is step one. We're two Louisville parents who got tired of building summer in too many browser tabs, and we'd love to hear what's working, what isn't, and what you wish existed.

One place to find every camp — and, eventually, plan the whole summer.

01

One front door for every camp

The directory is the start: every Louisville camp side-by-side, instead of a dozen different sites. It's already live and growing every week.

02

The Saturday-morning summer plan

The bigger picture we're working toward: a calm Saturday morning, a coffee (or two), and the whole summer mapped out in one sitting. Multi-child families, partial weeks, the camps your friends are going to.

03

Built for parents, not for ads

No selling your data, no popups, no ads. The directory exists to help you find the right camp, and to send you straight to the camp's own registration.

We're still planning. Here's the direction we're leaning.

Today the directory is seeded from public sources, so almost every camp in Louisville is in here whether they've talked to us or not. The next step is letting camps confirm and own their listing — so the dates, ages, and prices come straight from them. You'll see a verified badge when that happens.

Before unified enrollment, we want family accounts — so your saved camps, your kids' info, and your plan persist across devices and across summers. After that, the bigger lift: an affordable enrollment platform that opt-in camps can use, so signing up doesn't mean re-typing the same information on a dozen forms. We're not committing to dates yet, and the shape depends on what we hear from families and camps.

Nothing here is locked in. The whole point of this page is to ask before we build — so if any of this sounds wrong, please tell us.

The plan, in order

  • Step 1 — done: the directory itself, growing every week.
  • Step 2 — next: camps claiming and owning their listings, with a Validated badge so you know the details came straight from the camp.
  • Step 3 — after that: family accounts so your saved camps, kids, and plan carry across devices and across summers.
  • Step 4 — eventually: an affordable enrollment platform for opt-in camps, so signing up doesn't mean re-typing the same information a dozen times.

These are intentions, not promises. Your feedback shapes the order.

Quick answers.

Is the directory free for parents?

Yes. Always free for families. We don't sell your data, run ads, or charge parents to use the directory.

Who runs Canopy?

Two local parents — Michael and Kirstie. Email us; a real person reads it.

Will you email me?

Only if you check the box that says it's okay. Even then, it's a person, not a marketing list — we don't have a marketing list.

I found a camp with wrong info — what do I do?

Email us or send it through the form above. We'll check with the camp and update the listing. Most camps' info comes from public sources, so the next step in our plan is letting camps own their own listing directly.

Prefer email? Reach out.

The form is faster, but we read every email too. michael@letscanopy.com, kirstie@letscanopy.com.
